Ellon parkrun
parkrun is a free, timed, 5k run held every Saturday at 0930. Ellon parkrun is our local event and many NDRC members run and volunteer at this event. The run is a pleasant run from the new Academy, downhill to the River Ythan and alongside the river for about 1.5kms before heading into and around Gordon Park before returning alongside the river and then uphill for the last 500m to the finish line. As with NDRC itself, parkrun is open to runners and walkers of all abilities and standards, and is a great way to get regularl exercise weekly. NDRC occasionally runs the entire event with members filling all volunteering roles.

Hazlehead - a more challenging run up through Hazlehead park with a nice fast downhill return leg
Stonehaven - an even more challenging 3 lap circuit of Mineralwells Park with a steep but short climb repeated 3 times
